Grove Street Alchemy Brand & Packaging System

Problem :
Grove Street Alchemy was a new craft liqueur brand without an established visual identity, packaging system, or supporting collateral.
The brand needed to communicate craftsmanship, experimentation, and botanical inspiration while competing for attention in a crowded spirits market. The identity also needed enough flexibility to support multiple flavors, future product expansion, merchandise, and promotional materials without losing consistency.
Solution :
I developed a complete visual identity inspired by the idea of alchemy: transforming natural ingredients into something refined, unexpected, and distinctive.
The resulting system combines botanical and vintage apothecary influences with a cleaner contemporary craft aesthetic. Typography, color, illustration, and packaging elements work together to give the brand a recognizable personality while maintaining enough flexibility for individual products to have their own character.
The identity was then extended across bottle labels, merchandise, and promotional collateral to create a cohesive brand experience beyond the primary packaging.
Process :
I began by defining a visual direction around the brand’s core themes of botanicals, experimentation, craftsmanship, and transformation.
From there, I developed the logo, typography, color palette, and supporting visual language before translating the identity into a flexible label system. The packaging was designed to maintain strong brand recognition while allowing individual flavors and future products to be differentiated within the same family.
Because retail packaging has to work both visually and practically, I focused on hierarchy, contrast, legibility, and shelf presence while also preparing the final label artwork for production.
Once the core system was established, I expanded it into merchandise and promotional applications to test how the identity could scale across different formats and touchpoints.
Outcome :
The finished project established Grove Street Alchemy as a complete, cohesive brand rather than a collection of individual products.
The flexible packaging system supports multiple flavors and future expansion while maintaining a consistent visual identity, and the broader brand language translates naturally across packaging, merchandise, and marketing materials.
The result is a distinctive craft spirits identity that balances storytelling and personality with the practical demands of packaging production and long-term brand growth.
